ALKEMI RECYCLED SURFACING SHOULD ONLY BE FABRICATED
AND INSTALLED BY QUALIFIED SOLID SURFACE PROFESSIONALS.

ALKEMI is a polyester based composite surfacing material, containing recycled soft alloy aluminum scrap flake fillers. Fabrication and installation methods are similar to conventional Solid Surface materials. As such, ALKEMI does not require special tools or fabrication processes. However, unlike conventional SS materials, ALKEMI is offered in a variety of surface characteristic options. Specific fabrication methods of each surface option will require slightly different techniques during fabrication. Appropriate methods pertaining to each surface type are explained in detail below.

ALKEMI sheet surfaces are factory finished, and do not require any surface coating and/or sealing. Final surface treatment of ALKEMI Honed and Classic, from satin to high gloss, may be achieved by further polishing steps to be performed by the fabricator. ALKEMI Textured surface may not be sanded and polished as such steps will remove or damage the texture.
